I hope this informantion helps you guys. Larger throttle bodies on stock or lightly modified domestics/imports do not yield any gains. You may get 4 hp on a V8 at 6000rpms but lose 10 hp & torque in the midrange all for $200+. Save your money for a high flowing cold air intake with a proper tune. Just a K&N filter on any stock car will yield only 3 hp on a V8 (2 hp on a V6) at redline and you will lose power in the low end. These are my results from working at a low buck speedshop with a dynometer. Usually exhaust mods help with more power but will fall flat if the pipes are oversized (3 in pipes are only for highly modified big blocks) and do not work well on newer cars with cam/valve timing. Trust me I am not a salesman and have seen over 3 dozen import fanantics spend up to $800 for a single 2.25 inch catback and cold air intake for a lousy 2.0 honda that only gives 8 hp at best with the hood up and 2 lb. ft. torque not including the cost of a $400+ tune. Sometimes you mind tells you your car is faster but the numbers most likely do not lie.
