Ya I was just talking about this in another thread. It seems after looking at my most recent dyno graph that I have my s-trim maxed out because of the low engine compresssion 8.5:1. I have decided that I am going to upgrade to a t-trim and let loose.

Just a bigger blower and maybe some powershifting the 1-2.

Save up for a tranny too.

Hate to say it but get an Auto trans.

If I end up going with my insane build plan I will be going slushbox + Nitrous + Increased boost.

Just run 18-20 PSI boost on a T-trim and you will be there. Your signature lists your engine as a "built Alluminator", so what is built on your Alluminator that is different from a stock Alluminator shortblock? Are you running FRRP heads?

Ford racing sells a built aluminator:
Cobra rotating assembly with forged 8-bolt crank, H-beam rods, and forged pistons with 16cc dish
Uses M-6010-A46SC block
Approximately 8.5:1 compression ratio when used with 50cc heads
Built with all NEW PARTS

I have the stock heads on this block with my SPR cams in them.

18-20 lbs of boost, I hope I'd be in the 10s.

My tune is a race tune thats just toned down for the street. When I go to the track I advance timing and its where it needs to be.

I'm sorry but I will never go auto trans, it takes the fun out of racing. It takes a real good driver to run great numbers with a stick.

Brian,

I think the easiest and least expensive way to get into the 10s for you is the new blower or a rebuild your current piece.

Stock 3v heads flow really good, the intake manifold is pretty good too. Doing small things like that (without powershifting) will not put you into the 10's. Once you get into the faster ETs like you have, it gets harder and harder to get those last few 10ths. You actually have the power to get there now, maybe. With an auto trans and a bigger blower you would be deep into the 10's. With just the blower you should be able to break into them.

I hear you but there is not doubt you would be in the 10's with a built auto. They feed in the power better and leaving of a trans brake is a violent experience. Like was said you probably have the power now to see 10's.

IMO if you want a low 11 second car a manual is the best to have, but for 10's or better I will take an auto all day long. Like I said I might end up there myself depending on how my financial situation works out.

If you refuse to go auto, than through more power at it will get you there.
