What does it take to beat a Z06

Well since there are several what does it take threads I figured I would start one that actually had a car worth beating. No offense to the GXP or SRT8 threads, but it doesn't take much to beat either one of those guys. The other reason for this thread is: There is a particular vette owner that runs at my track, he runs consistant 11.8's while I have beat him in bracket race a couple of times, I would really like to kick his a$$ in a heads up match. I am running consistant 12.35's at 114 with a 1.88 60ft. Please keep in mind that I don't want to break 11.50 because then it is roll bar time and I am not doing that. Current Mods: Saleen SC w/3.8 pulley (3.4 on the way) 4.10's Steeda CAI 39lbs injectors BMR LCA's FRPP pumps SLP line locks MT ET Streets 275/40/17 PRO 5.0 and some other stuff I can't recall New Mods: 3.4 pulley and new tune Shortie headers (getting them for free) Aluminum shaft adjustable rear shocks Should that be enough? I think so.

More boost and tuned. I think it will be a close race if you have around 470whp

I hope that's all it takes, but if not more boost may be on the way. I really don't like that guy.

Add a 100 octane tune to the mix and if you can't beat him then I don't know. If I can make it to the track I think I could take him.

Is this the same guy who is braking at the 1000' mark?

The way you and I are going, we're both going to end up needing a cage.

No it's not the guy braking at the 1000' mark, unless he done some other stuff to his car. This vette is that metalic burnt orange color, I think the guy braking at 1000' had a different color car if I remember correctly. I think you could take him for sure with your 100 octane tune.

what kind of boost will that 3.4 pulley give you? 10psi? That should do it.

I can't wait for the day I get booted from the track for no roll bar... Hopefully it will be coming within the next month (one 10th to go!)
