My factory scoop's bolt holes will be exposed by the install
Unless I get a factory scoopless hood (I've started some trade and WTB threads in the classifieds and trade sections), I'll definitely have to go with the B9/Boss 429 scoop.
As far as the SuperShaker vs the 475 OEM kit, the SuperShaker is only ~$300 more for a WAY better sound and an additional 20+rwhp over the regular blower kit, and I still get to keep the warranty. If I wanted the SuperShaker upgrade later, it's ~$1,200.
By hiding the obviously functional Shaker hood, the sleeper factor is increased dramatically.
"So, is that hood scoop functional?"
"Yep" :wheeeeEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE:
Thanks everyone! Can't wait to sign the guestbook!
I have seen a post from Brenspeed themselves on this forum where they were asking for a hood trade. You may be able to get them to solicit a hood trade with someone who has a plain hood in your car's color. Maybe there's someone out there with a plain hood who wants your stock-scoop hood....

The whine isnt bad unless your wide open throttle. When you go wot, the whine is pretty loud if your standing outside the car... but inside the car you dont hear it that much. Atleast i dont, my loud exhaust and radio i barely notice it.
