FRPP GTA's are a nice axle back. They sound good and and really don't get the cop's attention. But if he likes it loud some MAC's or Boomtubes.

I definately liked this sound better than anything I have heard so far. This car sounds amazing. I read what I could and found a lot of remarks about issues with installation and headers warping with the MAC headers. I wonder if everything would bolt up with the SLP headers with the MAC + Pypes?

I also assume the car would require a tune. What would be the best tuner for this?

Thanks to all for the replies.

I know,it sounds like a classic V8 muscle car, im glad someone agree's!

I have heard set ups on here that I think sound like pure trash, but to them it sounds "perfect" , thats why its best to listen to a TON of clips and make your own choice.

Im sure some don't like this sound, but then again, there are tons of kids running around with tin cans at the end of their (insert 4cyl car here) that sound like farting sewing machines, yet they put them on.. *scratches head* The point is, everyone has their opinion of what sounds good.

As for the tune, as soon as you remove the cats you will need one. Or your check engine light will come on.

That 350 HP you mention is a bit optimistic and most likely at the crank. You might see about 20 actual RWHP gain, at best, with some of the better LT's and pipe combo's.

Check out the exhaust sticky. There's a ;ot of great info there. "Best" is a word best stricken from the forum, IMO.

I have been through many exhaust and my favorite sound for this car has been the pypes mid muffler system. I have it with a catted prochamber but if I were to do longtubes I would go with the BBK LT's with catted H-pipe.

Here is a vid of my car-

I like the current sound of the car with the stock exhaust. What we are looking for is a system they will improve performance and provide about 50% gain in sound (not wanting it to be extremely loud) than the stock exhaust.
