Default FRPP CAMS - Having big troubles with custom tune...

Hey guys,

I cant wait till next Monday as I am having the FRPP cams installed. Also having the plugs changed, and brake fluid changed to DOT4 as well. As of today, she just hit 41k miles. I am having my mechanic do all my work. Final price of 1175 for the cams, 8 new plugs, and all the labor, and powdercoating the covers ford racing blue.

I will update the thread with any horror stories of broken plugs, and I will be sure to bring my updated FRPP dyno graph here as well. As far as I know, there are few graphs online that show "just" the cam install.

I am really hoping to gain 15-20whp with these bad boys. I'll update monday night.

********************************* My dynos so far

Stock vs JLT CAI w/ custom 87 tune

Previous best vs 4.10's + Stinger Axleback + custom 93 octane tune

i'm looking forward to comparing the before
and after dyno numbers. since there was no
mention of tuning, i have to assume the
first, after dyno, will be with your current
tune?

congrats on getting cammed

I will let ya know what it puts down without a tune, and then after he works out a custom tune. It will be nice to see how much is gained. Although, I believe you gain more in terms of drivability then in WHP. But time will tell

it sounds like you did your homework
on this mod, it sounds like there's not
going to be too many surprises, just
a big grin when you start the car.

Congrats and post here when its started ...(just update the title of the thread).....Your baseline numbers were real low (258 stock-to mine was 270 stock) IMO so I hope you yield alot after the install for easily over 300+ RWHP!!!!! Im excited for you!

EDIT this is my 10,000 th post!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dont sweat it man...

Its odd, even though its a normal dynojet, it reads like a mustang dyno. Although, he said the 3.31's held me back a bit.
