Ok, so here is the question I have... In almost EVERY setup you hear on our cars you get at least a little cracking and raspiness in the sound. I had a 2003 Gt before my 08 Bullitt. It sounded deep and throaty. Why does our cars have this much of a different sound as opposed to the previous gen?

Lol...ya I know that. Was looking for something a little more specific as to the cause of the raspiness.

depends on the mufflers u choose and what mid pipes you go with. my borlas with the stock H were nice and deep. not raspy at all. when i added the x pipe its slightly raspy when its cold. after finishing my set up i think its deeper than what i had stock.

the OP wanted NASCAR, so NASCAR you will get. but be careful what you ask for.....
this is LT's, o/r x pipe, MBRP deletes. it is superloud, pops like thunder on deccell, and overall sounds like crap.

after 1 day, i had to do something. so i added some M80's before the rear axle, and now it has the perfect balance between loudness, deepness, and a few drops of the sound of evil.

I have a Corsa Sport Exhaust with Bassani x-pipe high flow Cats. I think it sounds fantastic. Corsa has no drone which is why you pay more, but I think it's worth it. With this combination I chopped 2/10ths from my quarter mile. I have seen dynos for the Corsas and they picked up 4 RWHP, and another 10RWHP with the x-pipe and high flow cats.

You can hear the exhaust on this video. There is a second video with some more donuts too. Check it out
