Default How many miles are too many to mod?

In your opinions - how many miles on your car before you stop putting alot of $$$ into mods...or do you keep modding and rebuild engines / trannys and such as needed?

I really want to keep my car forever since it's the first new car I've ever bought. I got it when I was 19 and had been working hard and saving alot to get it. So I plan to just keep rebuilding and replacing everything until I can't do it any more.

Mine was a wedding gift from my wife, so i'm never getting rid of it! Engine blows, out in a bigger and better one, tranny goes, same. Theres a reason you can see original stangs on the road, put a little cash into it if you love it, and it can last forever. Now, maybe you'll pick up other daily drivers that come and go every 7 years, but the stang, it aint going anywhere, just my 2

MMFF has a 1999 2V project car. Silver Stealth Stang. It has 166,000 miles on it and it's automatic. THey did all the bolt ons on it and were drag racing it. THey now put a built motor in it but it goes to show these things run hard even with high milage

I say mod until you think the car is finished then sell it and start again, but that's just my 2 cents.

If you roll the Odometer over, it just means you get to start all over again! There is no such thing as "too many miles", just "broken in" . Mod till ya have to sell it or wrap it around a tree. Then save what you can and buy another one.
