Default Electric Cutouts

Currently, I have an xpipe with flowmaster super 44's. it sounds good and can be loud when I want it to be, but I think i'd like my exhaust to be really loud sometimes.

I've thought about electric cutouts but have a few questions to anyone that knows the answer.

What are the quality brands? The only brand i've found is Quick Time Performance.

I live in Utah, are these going to effect my emissions? I wouldn't think they would since they can be closed.

Will they effect any check engine lights, and do they damage the motor at all?

Any information and experience would be really helpful.

get em. I have the manual ones and they are bad ass! Instant torque off the line and noticeable power gain overall. Sounds great as well.

I'd get the electric ones but I live in AK and it sucks because of the winter then break up season. It'll do a round on the motors down there.

Quicktime performance is a good brand as well...

QTP for the win.
There are ads in the mustang magazines.
Mustangs Unlimited carries the good stuff.

I'd like to add that they would also benefit greatly with the addition of shorty headers to increase flow even more.

Well that's perfect considering I have shorty headers. Anyone know if it'll affect the engine lights or emissions testing?

Well the only way you will get the CEL is if you put them in before the cats. Once you open them the sensors wouldnt be getting any information so it would throw the light. however if your tune has the O2's shut off I would imagine it wouldnt matter.

sweet..JBA headers as well. I didn't even see that, I am looking to get the same headers. Compared to the stock headers, those JBAs will compliment the cut outs perfectly increasing flow and HP.

I'd just be a little wary of issues I have heard about with the electric cut outs. Motors failing, cut out door swinging, staying halfway open or closed, and just issues with the door in general. I have contacted them and they advised to remove the motors during extreme weather conditions etc.

QTP are good guys, I dealt with them when I had my SRT-4, they know their shiet!

Also, they are ridiculously loud.. so the electric cut out is actually pretty sweet, blarrrringly loud when you want it, quiet when you don't.
