Default Replacing Magnaflow Axleback - need advice!

Currently I have the Magnaflow Axleback and I'm just not happy with the sound anymore. It is barely louder than stock until you give it a lot of throttle. I'm wanting to upgrade to an axleback that gets peoples attention while idling. Would Boomtubes, Pypes Muffler Delete, or SLP Loudmouths be what I'm looking for?

Also I'm looking into the FRPP Hot Rod Cams so wanting something to compliment that 60s musclecar rumble!

Thanks

I agree, my mustang came with magnaflow exhaust and i was not happy with it, I installed an off road x pipe and it sounds awesome when giving it throttle, but when its idle or at cruising speeds it is too quiet. I too am wondering what exhaust sounds aggressive when idling.

Go for the Boomtubes! I'll be glad to let you listen to them some more, and even take a ride in the car with me if you want.

I also had the Magnaflow axil back and it wasn't quite loud enough. I switched to the Pypes mid muffler cat back and it has a more musle car sound. They are reasonably priced but the fitmant is bad. Luckily I had some one at a mufler shop install them. They needed to be heated with a torch and bent to look even in the back. Also one of the pipes needed to be shortened (cut) so the tips stuck out the same distance. Also I had to replace the cheep clamps that were provided to avoid leak. Once all of that was done, they look and sound great.

Yeah, are you going to be at the cruise Friday night? If so I want to go for a spin and see how they sound. I finally got the money to replace these Magnaflow so I'm ready to decide and finally get this car sounding like it should.

The regular maganflows sound good with L/T and an O/R H or X pipe. I'll throw in my 2cents and vote for magnaflow magnapacks.

+1... I love my magnaflow, but I love em with the combination of my lt headers and catless x pipe... idles perfectly too, where you can hear it but it isnt obnoxious... if you want louder, then yes... SLP and BOOM!!! tubes are the way to go...

Believe, I'm going to give this a whirl...I'm going to order the pypes o/r x-pipe first and then see how the car sounds before I change out the axleback again. If I still don't like it I'll probably buy the pype mid-muffler setup or SLP Loudmouths!

SLP Loudmouths FTW!!! I just put that axleback on and it is pretty amazing, however, I could see how it would get pretty insane with an offroad midpipe....
