Listen, if you don't have drag radials, 4.10s equal tire smoke.

The new tune will still have a rev limiter. Check your parameters on the device for the setting. My bama tunes have a 6500 rpm limiter, but it is user adjustable.

you have an automatic so just turn traction control off and o/d off.put it in drive and give it gas.youll run slower by shifting manually.my self and alot of other members here run in drive.you need an email tune or a dyno tune.

by the way how the hell are you getting in over drive in an 1/8 of a mile track.you know this cars have 5 gears not 4, 5th is your overdrive.on stock tires and 4.10s it should shift into 4th a couple of feet before the end of the track

I ran an 8.9x @ 81.xx mph with intake, o/r x-pipe and SCT hand held tune at my local 1/8 mile track. And that is with a 60' time of 2.3, mainly because my track never preps and I cant get traction for sh*t. I'm hoping with a prepped track and 4.10's I can hit 8.5 atleast.

Mishri has done at least a 2.1, and I think even a 2.0, with stock pirelli tires and 4.10 gears. They don't necessarily equal "smoke" without drag radials.

What I think my brother was trying to say is that I should turn the overdrive switch off and not be in drive(but 3rd) when I cross the finish on a 1/8th. I think what member
1BAD3V said about the tack not being prep has alot to do with it also. The track that I run at in Wilkesboro, NC is pretty crappy. Alot of the cars there where running slow ET's. There was a brand new 09 Challenger RT automatic and that guys best 1/8th ET was around 9.7. I going to take it to the new Z-MAX track in Concord, NC where they have a 1/4th mile strip and it is all concrete.

dont shift... o/d should be off as well as traction control, and just let the car do all of the shifting... and people are right, you may just have to get a bigger/better tire to start making use of those 4:10's...

Don't try and shift at 6,000 lol. Your tune probably shifts higher than that in drive. Get Bamachips to send you tunes, though. That will make a big difference over a Diablosport tune. As long as you're hooking, you won't need tires. It all depends on the track prep, but I always hook and cut low 2.1 60's. Mine is also an auto. I cut a consistent half a second off my 1/8 mile ET with just 4.10's. I am very happy with them.
