431 rwhp and 435 rwtq, gotta love that boost... http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2646544
Don't try and shift at 6,000 lol. Your tune probably shifts higher than that in drive. Get Bamachips to send you tunes, though. That will make a big difference over a Diablosport tune. As long as you're hooking, you won't need tires. It all depends on the track prep, but I always hook and cut low 2.1 60's. Mine is also an auto. I cut a consistent half a second off my 1/8 mile ET with just 4.10's. I am very happy with them.
Ditto,
it took some getting used to (4.10/auto) but after a few runs, I have it down real good.
OP:
You just need to learn how to launch it just right while power braking and when to go WOT off the line. I was cutting 13.4s all day long easily, even though I was aiming for 13.2s the whole time but only got 13.2, 13.3 only but a few times. The gears are fine, so are the tires.. it's all in the launching and finding the right RPMs to launch at.
you have an automatic so just turn traction control off and o/d off.put it in drive and give it gas.youll run slower by shifting manually.my self and alot of other members here run in drive.you need an email tune or a dyno tune.
I went back to the track today and suggested what you said about turning off the o/d and I was able to get 8.99 in the 1/8th and 2.1 from 0-60ft. That was anywhere from 2-3ths better than last week. Thanks for the advise. With a little more practice, I hope to get in the 8.7's range.
