Big Mike: It kinda depends on how much power you want out of it and how much you want to pay. I have a Vortech, I purchased it because it is great for the money and is upgradable to the HO at a later date. That being said, if I had more money, I would have gotten a Saleen, but I would have started to upgrade the motor.

Now that my car is running great, I would recommend a Vortech, great for the money and upgradable. I was limited on my budget to put more ponies under my hood.

...and it is my DD.

Edelbrock! More rwhp per psi than the other guys. At 5psi, it puts out as much or more rwhp & torque in low & middle rpm bands as the twin screw names which need 10psi.

I think this video says its as strong as I'll ever need it to be.

Don't get the roush. It's not a twinscrew it's a roots blower. It is fine with the stock pulley but from what i know you can only go down one size pulley and it will suffer greatly from heat soak. They do have the tvs which is a twinscrew but it is close to 10g's. There is a reason you don't see many people on this forum with roush blowers unless they have a roush mustang.

Don't limit yourself to superchargers. Research forced induction which also includes turbos. I wouldn't even consider brand names until you decide which type of FI best suits your driving needs and goals.

The Roush Roots superchargers are blowers, they are Roots not a single screw. The Screw superchargers like Techco and Whipple are compressors.

The Eaton TVS is still a Roots blower not a twin screw.

Also the Edelbrock's 5 psi creeps up higher in boost the high the RPMS.

Whipple IMO but what else would I recommend. They all are good but I enjoy the quick power of the twin screws.

Most power for the price, I'd say go with the Brenspeed Paxton HO kit for $4995 shipped to your door. That kit can put out enough power to grenade your motor easily, and if you go forged it'll do pretty much what you'd be able to effectively use with no problems. That said, I don't think there are any BAD kits on the market these days. Any of them will get it done, it just depends on your budget and where/how you want the power delivered in terms of RPM range and drop-off, etc etc.

Apparently, I got some bad info and should do little more research.

Eaton's TVS does have 2 screws just like a twin screw

http://www.eaton.com/EatonCom/Produc...iteId=EatonCom

Below 5500 or so rpm, it makes more rwhp and torque than any other supercharger at the same level of boost.

E-Force with 5 lbs boost

Whipple HO with 10 lbs boost

E-Force with some other boost levels

Everybody goes straight to the peak number at 6000+ rpm. But start on the left side of the chart and look at the numbers for different rpm levels.

E-Force FTW!!! Don't get me wrong - this isn't a Dyno Queen thing...its about making good power with low boost (less engine stress).

Most of all, I agree with Mudflap. Whipple, E-Force, Vortech, whatever....all the big names are very good and I bet you would be thrilled to have any of them.
