I am in the same search, but with different end goals in mind (mine is not a DD, and has/will never see the track)...I am looking at the 2.4L KB, but with your requirements you may want to look into the KB mammoth

I have had nothing but good a experience with my saleen. I recommend getting one with a custom tune.

My Saleen was installed over 2yrs/20k no problems with the SC at all. I do break stuff on occasion (usually the rearend on #4 and its starting to go), but I go to the track 2+ times a month if weather permits. The SC makes good very consist power, which they all do. With the twin screw SC's (Saleen, Whipple, KB...) your torque numbers should be better than the centri guys (procharger/vortech) but they usually make it up on the top end. IMO the Saleen and Whipple are the 2 best twin screws followed by the KB and the rest. From what I have heard from a couple of local guys is the KB is a little more pron to heat soak, which if the car sits long enough doesn't matter. The guys running the prochargers and vortechs swear by them. It basically comes down to personal preference, I like the look of the Saleen looks very factory install is clean, there are a number of shops that can tune them and they will give you plenty of room to grow. If you plan on getting built motor go with the whilpple, KB, vortech... The Saleen maxes out around 12psi unless you have it ported.

Procharger, vortech, or paxton is the way to go for you!

I too at first had settled on the saleen, however its the same price as the KB which is a LARGER blower, the KB is a 2.6L which means if 5 years down the road you decide to beef the bottom end of your motor up, all you do is change to smaller pulley. the saleen maxes out at about 500 rwhp. for me right now that would be fine, however if its the same money why not have the flexability of running more power later with the larger 2.6 KB blower. I also like how KB's kit relocates the air filter to the front bumper area. IMO the KB kit is the better value

I have the 2.6 and I am quite happy. Keep in mind some tuners aren't to happy with the BAP and highly recommend the dual pump set up which will add to your cost once you start thinking about getting to 500rwhp
