Yeah I've been happy overall with this kit. The car is very lively when its 75 degrees or less outside. This was a hot summer in TX, so I've spent the last few months just putting around in the thing. I took it out this past weekend and it was about 60 degrees. I had a hard time keeping the thing planted on the pavement, lol. Dipping into the throttle in 2nd and 3rd yielded wheel spin easily. I've always assumed the kit was good for at least a mid 12, but I'm not much of a track guy. We're planning to move to Colorado in the summer, so the high temps won't be as much of a problem... too bad I'll be living at 7000' feet though. Ahh well, give and take I guess... If I had to do it all over again... I'd have bought a GT500.

I just want a SC to able to keep with with the EVOs and STIs from a DIG or roll.
(-:
Because right now, the gears and tune just isn't cutting it.
(O_o)!?
Well, you're always going to be traction challenged from a dig. Even with this non-IC Vortech from a dig, if I'm not careful I'll spin from the tune alone. And thats not even considering the fact that it makes enough boost to start spinning my 275's at WOT within like 2 seconds of take off. I would imagine a twin screw would have even more issue staying down. People paint these centris as "laggy", however its just in reality not that bad. Its not like flipping a switch, but we're talking hitting boost very quickly, especially with gears. I actually think if you're looking to beat an STi or EVO, that the centri would be the way to go. Those cars launch hard but run out of steam fast (I had a heavily modifed WRX a couple years ago, I'm familiar with that scene and those cars). The centri pulls gradually but like a freight train to redline. They'll take you off the line possibly, but you'll reel them in.
No matter which kit you get, you're going to need suspension and some sticky tires if launching from a dead stop is your goal...

Of course, when my friend runs his 385WHP tune I am toast, but that night he was not. Oh, and I have rematched him a few times with my Mickey's on. Lets say that it didnt go so well for him...
