Wink Need some opinions on exhaust

We're working on getting a 2006 GT on its feet. Bought it wrecked with a salvaged title. It has one last alignment left and it will be in good as new condition. I now get to do the fun stuff and get it show ready. (we have three Mustangs between my husband and I - a 69, 91, and 06; and also a 68 T-bird. They are all daily drivers but we also show them as a hobby)

The 06 needs... more... in the exhaust sound department. I have a 91 5.0 with MAC exhaust and headers, and I loooovve. love. the sound. Want the 06 to sound just as aggressive.

Flowmasters come to mind immediately, but I'd also considered going with Cherry Bomb or MAC. Not gonna go from the headers back. I like the idea of going with Cherry Bombs since the GT is torch red and we've taken to calling it the Cherry Bomb.

Suggestions? Opinions? Complaints?

Edit/addition:

Suggestions on cold air induction brands are welcome too. Does price REALLY matter? I ask because after paying a little over $150.00 for my 91's induction, the nearly $300.00 for my 06 is almost shocking!

The S197s will never sound like the 5.0s. Once in a while you'll see someone that claims to have found a sound-alike setup, but there is far from any consensus on that.

For CAI - there was a good magazine article on that a while back. Basically, they're all close to the same. Just pick one. Pick it for the price. Pick it for looks. If you have any plans at all to get supercharged, pick one with a huge MAF. Otherwise, it really doesn't matter.

Like shanec said, the 4.6 Mod can never sound like the 5.0. I love my setup (see sig), but I know you said you didn't want to do headers back. I would recommend the MAC Boom Tubes regardless of the rest of your set up. Every car I've heard them on sounded great. Go with an H-Pipe for your midpipe, or a Prochamber from MAC.

Check out Corsa cat backs. I made up my mind the first time I heard them... I want them! Unfortunately money is tight at the moment because I need tires. Youtube doesnt work for me right now otherwise I would post a few links to some good vids so try out corsaperf.com and go to the video section and just look for some s-197's. Best sounding exhaust I have ever heard imo...

Check out SSS Exhaust. They offer 2 kinds of mufflers. They are great quality and a great price. They also have an agressive, and distinctive sound that seperates them from the rest.

And crap. I'd hoped I'd get a similar sound out of the Cherry Bomb, but anything will be an improvement - as my brother (my paint and body guy) said, It needs some b*lls. LOL
