Default Anyone ever found top end on their stock GT?

Surely some one has found top end on their 100% Stock GT? I've never opened mine up past 115 - but my husband did Saturday night and at 130ish, it still had room to go... lots of room. We ran out of highway before we found top end - two semis decided to snail race in front of us and we had to shut it down. We don't usually drive like that - I tend to drive 60 mph-ish simply for the gas mileage, and we do have a sense of our own mortality.

My husband's comment: Yeaahhh, I don't think you need ANY MORE PERFORMANCE PARTS TO PUT ON HERE! *have underdrive pulleys not yet installed and am working on a CAI*

Just hoping someone out there has done that and lived to answer my question, for curiosity sake

well, she isn't a GT but back when i had my 3.73's in, i buried her on Ft. Stewart, Ga on a huge straight stretch at 160mph and had room to go.. thats the bottom of my speedometer so i have no idea how fast she'll go. i was at about 3500/4000rpms, so hard to say what she'll do, since then i put 4.10's in.

I thought the SN95 and S197 were computer limited? I'm sure an aftermarket tuner could remove this, but what is the stock limit?

Just be careful of your tire's limits.

think the limiter was like 125 or something, not real sure, never hit it before i got the tuner and removed it. and yeah, i was a very reckless person back in the day. pushed everything to the max.
