I only received one tracking number. Doug shipped one item, and the CAI intake came straight from the manufacturer. My tracking number was for the SCT I believe. My order was a SCT and JLT combo (Redfire color), but I imagine that separate shipping is common to avoid the need to have CAI kits sitting on Bama's shelf waiting for a new home. I would still call and verify what's going on though (hopefully you'll get a quick answer). I'm just thinking there's no reason to be alarmed yet.

Well thank you for that piece of info. That makes me feel a little better, but hopefully i can get hold of Doug today.

I received my C&L CAI/SCT Tuner package yesterday all in the same box. Doug even threw in a set of CMVC Delete Plates to make up for the problems and delays on my order. I got him on the phone today to verify my strategy code since my PCM had been re-programmed by the dealer, and to thank him for the delete plates. He said he is starting to get everything back on track now, so keep trying him today - he should answer. I'm going to install the CAI and tunes tonight, and if everything is good, I will definitely give him another chance with future mods since he is making an effort to make things right.

I got a hold of him today and I told him what happened. He called Jlt to see what the deal was with the intake and found out that they ran out of redfire paint which was the cause for the extra delay. Doug said its being shipped today and he'll try to get it here tom before the weekend so i hope ill be seein a box in the mail tom. Man, that sure would be nice if i got a freebie with my order...

Well, the Sept 14 date has come and gone and I still don't have my tuner which I ordered on 8/19. I was told 10 days when I ordered it and now it has been a month. They don't answer my emails and their phone is not accepting any messages. I am getting pretty upset with these guys. I wish I lived closer so I could go down and talk to Doug in person and ask him where my tuner is!!

Two months now and I'm still waiting for my updated tune!
When I first got my tune two years ago it was very easy to get an updated tune at anytime, and the phone would be answered right away.

But now....

I regret doing business with them.

I understand that it's almost a home business with only Doug and Matt working. But if they can't stand by their word they should just close or expand!

When I put my cams in ill be going with brenspeed or a JDM tune. I like my bama tune and all now but the hassle aint worth it (what it appears from this thread not my personal experience). I will say I think my bama tune is messed up. Cold start ups when I get going my car acts like it wants to go into limp mode.

I had a similar issue with my Bama tunes. It was ok when cold except for a certain rpm range. Running up through something like 2200-2500 (give or take a couple hundred rpm...its been a while ago), the car would stutter & hesitate.

I got a VMP tune later, mostly because Bama couldn't fix my LT header related CEL's. Never had that problem with VMP.

Based on my experience through my supercharger install, I think that cold start thing has something to do with the transient fuel settings in the tune. That's the only thing JDM needed to tweak in my tune. It acted all limpy when cold. Then one tweak of "transient fuel" as Jim Sr put it, and they tune was dead on.

It looks like they just SHRUNK! I got word from s197forum that Matt is no longer with bama. I don't know if he quit or was fired, but now it's just Doug.

Doug really should get some ideas from Brenspeed. Those guys are growing like mad.
