Datalogging - what does the "Linear Knock Sensor 1 Diagnostic Parameter" PID mean?
Hi all,
I have ScanXL, ElmScan5 BT, and the Ford extended diagnostics package. I am connected to a 2008 Saleen S302E (Ford Mustang at heart).
I am trying to determine if my knock sensor is causing a timing problem. I see the following two pids available:
"Linear Knock Sensor 1 Diagnostic Parameter" KS1 (and similar KS2). When I log these parameters, I get values ranging from 100 to 1000, but I have no idea what those mean. Web-crawling didn't help out. Can anyone explain the meaning of those parameters? Any way I can determine whether it is indeed the knock sensor messing with my timing?
Thanks,
Chris.
