I have the v3 and the trans is fine. I asked my tech and they are solid. The only advice on the S/C is forged internals after 450-500 depending on tune.

Trans should hold fine....tuner has his stock tranny and the motor puts out 550 RWHP and similar TQ numbers and holding fine after 25 passes at the track

Your tranny may last OR IT MAY NOT. There in no guarantee.
My tranny was toast after 3200 miles at 435 RWHP/440 RWTQ.
The input shaft is NOT the most common failure as mentioned above. The third gear servos and the 3rd gear/OD band are what commonly fail.
The input shaft could twist in a high HP application but you could have problems with other parts besides the input shaft.
I have seen no less that 20 of these trannies fail after forced induction was added. I have seen far more trannies fail than shortblocks.
Well, zkiller makes a good point. There are no guarantees on any component of the car, especially after you add a blower. With the kit you're looking at, I still think chances are the tranny will hold fine. It also depends on how you drive and treat the thing. If you're doing neutral drops or brake torques off each stoplight and generally never driving without your foot at 100% throttle position, then yeah, I wouldn't expect much longevity.

Not exactly the same, but I am running a 5r55s with a vortech. Ran it two years, between 100-200 track runs, lots of street driving: no problems with the blower or tranny. Granted that's only 325hp or so on the little smaller input shaft for a v6, but the trans has held up very well.

This is true but is a given if you alter the motor or drive line in anyway for more HP.....I guess I take that for granted and assumed that most members know this before hand.....common sense IMO
