After reading on a few forums, it appears that on the 05-09 auto trans handle, the top movable sleeve likes to seperate from the handle. This then disconnects the red gear indicator...
So I am wondering if the 2010 auto trans handle assembly (the whole damn thing) can be used to replace the gawdawful (including esthetic) 05-09 handle assembly? Has anyone tried it yet?

I guess it's all a matter of personal taste. I am satisfied with the appearance of mine. I thought the handle and lock out were kinda ugly so I did dress it up a little from the stock unit to suit my personal taste.
I do think the FORD stock shifters are kinda "gawdy" and difficult to down shift without having to pay too much attention to the shifter instead of driving.
That looks really good Casey! Dig the "gofaster" setup in the cup holder too....way cool looking!! I to think the paddle is ugly, but compared to the stocker the tci looks way better.

Thanks.
I recently added a manual Hi Speed Fan switch (lighted rocker) to that cup holder so I had to re-make the whole thing to accomodate it all. I used two LEDs this time Amber for line lock "ready" and Red for line lock "engaged" instead of the single big red light.
The Fan switch was added to be able to use the hi speed fan without the motor running to cool the motor down between runs (or Dyno pulls) in addition to the electric WP.
OK, so back to my original post...should this be a tech question instead? I would assume that below the surface, the stock unit should still be the same? I am thinking by the time it takes to repair the original unit, it would be just as easy to swap for the new style...?
