Default 3.73 or 4.10? Which gears?

Which ones would be best for my automatic 06 gt?

I have 4.10s for my auto and they are bad ass.. though please keep in mind that they are very aggressive and the highway RPMs are pretty silly (2500@60ish), but for acceleration , they are simply irreplaceable. Don't expect your 1/4 times to drop too much on street tires because you'll be fighting for traction for the first 60 ft.

Go with the 3.73. Do you have FI? or do you plan on getting FI? If so defiantly stay with 3.73. While on the subject did anyone catch the brief article in the latest 5.0? I think it was KB who tested performance with and without gears. I was surprised to see the drop in power with gears. The article does state that gears help with accelerating...

its up to you and which route you decide to take. Both are good choices. N/A go with 4.10's. Hitting the strip alot and FI go with 4.10's. Street/Strip with FI go with 3.73's. I went with 3.73's with my whipple

Our car is a strip only vehicle. We use 3:50 gears

I thought about 3.73s as well, but I am glad I got 4.10s. From a low roll or dead stop I simply FRY the tires if I am not careful. Makes burn outs a peice of cake ( I know, bad, bad, bad!) With some good DRs, I am pretty confident I could make a very high 12 sec pass (12.9)

What are your future plans? If you plan on forced induction you may want to wait for that and see what you trap is like at end of 1/4 mile. A street car would be fine with 3.73 gears.

4.10 has been working good for me. 1.64 60ft 11.96 @113mph is my best so far but wait until next year when the stang gets a make over, should be in the 10's all motor with 4.10 gears.
But it is up to you on what the main purpose of your car will be. Do you want to just drive it and take it to the track a few times or are going to run it at the track every weekend. if you are going to drive the majority of the time go with 3.73.
