I just bought my first Mustang back in June. It's an '08 Shelby GT with 1,100 miles on it. It's an amazing car and lots of fun to drive, but I've noticed a tapping developing from the engine or behind the dash. It's kind of hard to pinpoint, because it only happens when the engine is under load. The noise, which might be a vibration of sorts too, is most noticeable in fourth gear between 3000 and 4000 rpm. As you accelerate the noise speeds up too. It happens in 2nd and 3rd as well but its very faint. Does anyone have a similar issue. The oil is new and at the proper level, and their is no noise when the car is not in gear.

Check the TSB's in the stickies for the one that pertains to the injectors, I believe. Many have noticed and complained about what turned out to be their injectors "clicking".These V8's can be a bit noisey compared to other engines.
Thanks. I've heard the injectors do tend to rattle. Would it be noticeable at any rpm, or is it one of those resonance issues when you hit a specific engine speed.
