I am in the midst of a supercharger install on my 2010. Its the brenspeed stage 3 kit.
I am trying to figure out how to get the alternator pulley off. I have the type of alternator that has a 6 point hollowed out portion in the middle. I have an alternator pulley removal tool in the kit with a 6 point end and a splined end. The 6 point end fits in the pulley but how the hell do you attach something to the splined end to turn it? Or is it meant to pulled off with a puller and the tool just gives the snout somewhere to rest? Thanks for any advice.

When I was doing the install of the SC on my 09 I was able to just use an impact wrench to take the nut off, then the pulley slipped right off. Of course this was not expected. When I tried to put the Saleen supplied pulley on the alternator it would not fit properly.
Long story short after some research I determined with the help of the guys at Brenspeed that the 2009 and 2010 GT with Auto Trans did not need the pulley change.
I know this does not directly answer your question about how to use the supplied tool, but in my case it was not needed.
Well the problem is that it isn't a nut. It's a recessed 6 point that you could use a large allen key on. The tool is male and the pulley is female if that makes sense. Even if I had an impact there is no way to put a socket over the splined end, it's not 12 point it's just a bunch of fine teeth. I'm at a loss.
Long story short there are variations on alternators within the model year of 2010. I have the wrong tool for the alternator and also the wrong size replacement pulley. Brenspeed is sending me something I can use to remove it and the proper pulley. If you are planning on ordering this kit make sure you inspect your pulley so you can tell them what tool/pulley you will need.
In addition to that you will need a new upper radiator hose (from an 06) that the kit does not supply or you will have to cut your stock takeoff to fit. Hope this helps people avoid my problems in the future.
We are sending you the correct pulley and pulley remover. Sorry about the inconvenience. We have seen different pulley combinations on the 2010's. Some clutched and some that are not. Sorry about this again.
