Default S/C questions

I have an 2005 GT V8 and I want to get the Vortech supercharger the one that is 420hp. My question is what else would I need when I get this kit. Can I keep the stock clutch. With this 420hp numbers does that include exhaust system.

I think you will get better responses if you post this in the correct forum

You can keep the stock clutch, fuel pump, and stock exhaust. None of them will be on the edge at 420rwhp. I have the paxton 2200 IC and still have no clutch slip [can break the wheels at 80mph] , although i do run a boost a pump and better mufflers.

Our V3 kit is a turn key kit. It requires no other modifications to acheive the power number you want. The clutch will last quite a while, especially on a centri blower. Gears are a good idea for a centri, help get you into your power band sooner. So in short, no other mods are required, to make those number.

...but when you get thirsty for more power and decide to upgrade to the H. O. intercooled kit, you'll need some supporting mods.

I'm running Brenspeed's kit with nothing other than some 275 tires on the back, 3.73 gears and an aluminum driveshaft. The car drives pretty well, but heatsoaks easily here in TX. I plan to move to Colorado, so heat won't be a problem, but of course then I'll be dealing with elevation. Anyhow, its a good kit, and the car drives nicely. For the money, its hard to beat. If I had to do it over again, I might have done the HO kit if I had known I'd be living at elevation.
