Whipple adjustable tensioner clearance?

Whipple Doodes, this adjustable tensioner for the belt seems like a problem waiting to happen. If it slips the belt will rub together. Is this much of an occurance? At least on my setup with the 3.25 pully on the blower and the 100mm pully on the driver's side, there is not that much clearance.

You're talking about the upper sliding tension pulley mounted on the alternator bracket, right? Mine has only been tightened once (when I installed the whipple) and has never moved. I haven't heard of anyone having any problems with it.

When you torque it to spec, it's not going anywhere.
