i may be wrong here, but most CAIs use a heat shield that blocks off SOME of the heat coming from the engine. The KR hood should lower underhood temps and, therefore, result in a lower intake temp. IMO it shouldnt hurt.

Depending on what you want to start with there are many different ways to approach your project car. Start with Exhaust, Cold Air Intake, Lowering the car, Rims/Tires. Then if you wanna go exterior styling, roush spoiler and louvers, cdc aggressive chin spoiler, smoke out the taillights. ALSO A MUST IS A SHORTY ANTENNA. Then finally just put a nice system in the car. Maybe 1 12" I have one 12" directed audio S-series hitting 600 wats 1200 RMS. The thing bumps.....

If you have an 05 GT how much warranty can you have left? I would think unless you bought an extended warranty your 36 months must be over or close to it.

I recently purchased an 05 with 15,000 miles and got NO factory warranty on it so I wouldn't think warranty should be an issue.

I went with Magnaflow Performance Exhaust Cat-back after CAI and Tuner...seems to have a bit more power...ran me $700 installed. Running a 91 Octane AEM Bruteforce CAI tune from flashpaq.

Another good addition could be our Performance Computer. Not trying a hard sell here, but if you want to see the difference each performance bolt-on makes, you can see the difference with the M.1b.

We have had some Mustang owners data log the Intake Air Temp, Mass Air Flow before and after the Air Intake kits, exhaust, headers, etc. You watch Mass Air Flow, your temperatures and of course, do the Horsepower runs to see the differences.

You can also add additional sensors, like another Intake Air Temp, which the supercharged and turbocharged guys are doing, to see the differences between them. It tells them how much hotter that air is getting and also how much cooling the intercoolers are doing. Another nice addition is adding a boost sensor since the factory system is not watching vacuum/boost. We've found that the GT500s have a boost gauge that is calculated from Mass Air Flow. So the owner's are going to add the vacuum/boost sensor to give them a true reading.
