It's hard to brag about an experience that's been so overwhelmingly negative so far.
We had a baby last year, so in order for the 3 of us to enjoy those drives to the beach, my beloved 02 Tbird had to be sold. I searched for a replacement in the meantime, and had settled on a GT/CS convertible with HID headlights in Vista Blue. One could not be found, but the dealer who had the car that got me interested, had one without the lights, and was "ready to deal" on a Shelby GT with them.
In July I took delivery of my 08 GT/CS convertible in Vista Blue. It was a very long road to get there with the dealer, one that had the dealer elected not to play so many games would have ended with the purchase of an 08 Shelby GT convertible. I was very much stuck between the cars, and the dealer (Dube Ford in NH) played so many games with the price (one price on the phone, email, etc.. a Vastly different one in person...repeatedly.) on the Shelby as to make me search for ANY other dealer in NH that had a car close, unfortunately I didn't find one. So against my better judgement, I went back and purchased the GT/CS (no HID lights) from them.
From the test drive, I had issues with the two-three shift, that I wrote off to me being unfamiliar with the car. The top headliner was also not aligned correctly with the top header, and left a gap, and the trim at the backseat was loose. I drove it without shifting into 3rd for a while until I had 1500 miles on it for the first oil change. At that time, I brought it in to have my issues addressed. It took some time to convince them that NO this wouldn't be a quick visit, and I'd need a loaner car. (I live about 60 miles from the dealer). The dealer finally was convinced they had to drive the car cold to experience the shift issue, and took a look at the top. They said the top needed a new frame, and would have to be replaced. I thought I saw a bit of opportunity here to at least get the top I wanted and offered to pay the difference for an upgraded cloth top, and was told the frame was separate, and the top in fact wouldn't be replaced, so unless I wanted to spring for full wack for the cloth, I was out of luck. They had to order that, and the transmission parts, and trim is just meant to flop around apparently. When I finally got back in to have these issues addressed again, the top was sort of fixed, they had at least glued it into the track in spots, but it was already coming out when I picked up the car, and surprise, 2nd to 3rd was just as bad, and trim.... yeah, we just need to pop a button in there.... unfixed. It took more convincing that they actually needed to fix the transmission again, and back it went for new syncros and finally a new third gear. The good news... the car can be shifted finally. All of this took a great deal of time, and now I'm taking the car off the road to winter with less than 2k on it, with the top issues still unresolved, and hey! we found two green buttons to hold down my grey trim for the back seat.
I actually spoke I believe with the owner of the dealership the last visit there to pick up my car from service. I was hoping that in light of my woes with them I'd be able to talk them into letting me purchase the cold air setup at dealer cost. I was mistaken, and was speaking to exceedingly deaf ears in just how dissappointed I was with their service and my treatment throughout the sale. This is not close to my first new car purchase, but I have NEVER been treated this badly ever. The car is finally driveable so I can start to enjoy it, (the baby loves it) but it is no mystery to me why Ford is in deep crap.

i just got my 06 GT and i have to put it up for the winter. I have never owned a Mustang before but I got a good deal on a low mile model. I cant wait to put some mods on it to make it sound nice and run fast.
I just bought a new 08 Premium GT 5spd last week, white with the black stripes. Dark grey interior, HID lights, 18" polished wheels and 3.55 gears. I bought it for $8,000.00 below MSRP. It's in the shop right now getting a 450 HP STS rear mount turbo installed. I couldnt leave it alone, after all, it has 500 miles on it and I need more power.
A long time dream finally realized. Galpin had 40 brand new 2008 GTs at $19k. No haggling; went in and said I want that one (there were tons along Roscoe Blvd with the price right on the window). Too good of a deal to pass up. Picked one up in Vista Blue. One word: Awesome. Now where to start . . .
I got my 05 on 1/3/09. By the following weekend, I had bought and installed the Pypes axle back along with an AVIC F700BT. I now have a JLT CAI and SCT SF3 on order now along with a dead pedal cover.
I love my GT. Best car I've bought so far (even with it being used).
