SweetGT,

It was nice of you to provide Jermy with the information that you found. Unfortunately, it appears that some folks have been successful in their attempt to chase him away from this site. If it's any consolation, I found your information interesting.
Well I am glad you found the information helpful....I did not condone what this thread is about(if you scroll back to page you 1, you will see my standing).....But I have been a way from this forum for a month or so and figure I would drop back in

Hello to all, as I am new to this site/forum.

I am looking at the Comp Cams also.
I trust Brenspeed as they have supported me with excellent tunes and support info.
They are are offering the Stage III cam package springs/retainer/cams for $999 w/free shipping.

Although they they are $100+ cheaper then BamaChips they don't seem to be looking to get into your wallet at every turn like Bama.

Support "after" the sale is very improtant.

HAHAHA nice post bulitt. I can't believe some of yall are giving him a hard time about this. He is trying to get some feedback on the consumer level. We can give him much more valuble info than say comp can. For example BBK reports what, like 15 hp for their throttle body and all of us knows how well that works.

No problem but just understand where I'm coming from. I don't have a problem with you searching forums for cam info for a customer. I only had a probelm with you searching THIS forum...lol

This site is fun but everyone knows that this site is the BS appearance mods, wheels, exhaust, and newbie site. 99% of the people on this site are NOT able to give opinions you want to be taking for anything under the hood. You want to know what 20" wheels and stripe color look great, then this site is the place to be but I would NEVER look for serious tech info here. Notice how not one actual builder/shop responded in the thread? That's cause they aren't on this site for anything other than selling parts. Again, I'm not bashing the site cause it's a fun site, but it is what it is and just look around for awhile and you'll see that it's a fan site, not a tech site. So take anything you learn here with a grain of salt IMHO.

What forums do you suggest people visit for solid tech info on the 3v stangs? I have been unable to find info i want since i bought mine.

Book time from ford is 9 hours for cams only. Add the springs and retainers and it is like 12 or 13. You also need a special 1 off tool for the 3 valve that is $275.00 from ford. Not an easy job like the good old days. A guy in another forum found someone to do them for $600 which is cheap. I ordered mine (Comp stage 3) and will be putting them in in a few days when they show up. I am fortunate that I don't have to send it out, so no labor charge. I will post dyno results down the road.
