So now you have a Tuner... now what?

I would say SCT is more common, at least in my experience.
Shop or tuner can be one in the same. I would look at someone like American Muscle, you get the tuner and they preload it with tunes based on your mods. AM also offers free tunes for life, can't beat that.

Speak with Am/Bama, Brenspeed, or BBR their tunes will be better than the canned SCT tunes. Unless you have a shop you know and trust to work on these mustangs. I'd stick with the 3 companies listed above.

I have an 07 gt with an SCT tuner tuned at 93 octane along with a C&L cai with underdrive pulleys, 4.10 gears, long tube headers, x pipe and slp exhaust. I love my tuner. It has helped me a lot and i recommend it to anyone.

I know this will be hard to believe. I have a 09 GT with an SCT tuner and Brenspeed 93 octane tune. I averaged 26.58 miles per gallon from St. Louis to Indianapolis and 25.72 MPG on the way back. The original sticker says 15 in the city and 19 on the highway. This amazes me. I always get over 20 in the city.

With my Bamma SCT set at 93-race tune I got 26mpg going to Wisconsin Dells. I got there and back on one tank! Thats a BIG deal to me. I NEVER expected to get a bump in MPG's. Round trip was about 400 miles! I would say the biggest thing you'll notice is the throttle response. The car just wants to GO...NOW! I will never own another Stang without a tune.
