OK great, thats all you had to say:

1. budget does not matter
2. You want to safely hit 600rwhp

That being established we can now proceed like adults.

You have four choices for a turbo setup, as far as I know, they are
1. Powerhouse
2. Hellion
3. Granitelli
4. Snow Performance

I would stay away from #3 personally.

#4 isnt quite ready, but should be very interesting when melded with their water/meth injection.

So that leaves you two viable choices, which then comes down to which company you like better.

I would suggest you call both talk with a rep for bit, tell them your plans and so on, and see how you feel about it.

They are both comprable in price I believe as well, so it will come down to which you like better as far as service and overall knowledge goes.

both will be able to get you well over your 600rwhp mark with appropriate supporting mods, ie engine work.

good luck and let us know how it goes.

There's also the STS turbo that goes under the rear of the car. I've heard some good things about it. I believe most of the systems out there need shorty headers or the stock manifold. I'm pretty sure the STS turbo can be used with long tubes like I have. Haven't seriously looked into them yet since financially I won't be ready to put a power adder on until next year. By that time there will be more new comers and a decent history of reliability and maintenance issues regarding current systems.

I'm also looking into a Turbo setup and looked into the STS system...

STS = Cheeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaapppppp setup... And they finance. Which is great.

But... My issues come with how the exhaust is setup (One pipe is only a wastegate, etc) and the possibility of water ingestion because of location.

Sorry but I would never finance a turbo setup, also it's not cheap the base price is for the single turbo system but when you add in the necessary components it costs as much as the other options. Also, if you look at the torque curve of an STS it sucks! Plus full boost from what I have heard isn't reached until 4k RPMs.

STSes are likely a bad option, especially if you live in an area with a lot of rainfall, Locally here you have the problem of theft. I know it sounds ridiculous, but several of the LS1's that have been through our local shops have gotten them jacked with handtools when they were parked. We were recently paid to do a demo of the rear mounted turbos turbos to.. ah, promote their product, and the results couldn't compare to a naturally aspirated turbo system, especially when it comes to shaving 10ths off your 1/4 time (acceleration isn't that great).

-That, and they make the exhaust sound like a cheap party favor.

yeah stear clear of sts, i have heard nothing but off remarks about their setup. Plus you have so much more piping and what not, plus it has snorkels.

snorkels=a need for snorkels

as in they are encountering problems with water seepage.

Okay, scratch STS off the list. I only added them because they weren't mentioned and for me to go turbo with long tubes I'd heard their system would work. Does anyone elses turbo work with long tube headers? if not that narrows it down to a supercharger for me unless I put my car back to stock which I really don't want to do.

Sell the longtubes, get shorties and a turbo. Be happier.

This is one of the best and most true statements I have read on this board.
