2006 Mustang starts, chokes, then dies!

RE: 2006 Mustang starts, chokes, then dies!
Good grief! I'd never looked at the instructions for the K& N intake before......... Check out steps 8,9 and 10.
For someone who is just beginning to learn to work on their car, here is a great way to cause a problem. No cautions on over torque or a torque spec for the beginners. These engines are not like when I learned in the late 60's with cast iron heads and steel bolts. At least he could still grab on to the remaining bolt piece and not have to drill and helicoil the hole! A torque wrench is almost a necessity with aluminum blocks and heads. The acient theory of "a quarter turn before it strips" won't work well here.

First thing I'd want to know is have you tried the above suggestions. If you have, and the wiring is good. Then maybe it's time to consider the replacement maf is not matching up with the tune expectations for the C&L??
Like I said, mechanical would be first, but you might be able to tune around it.
