Default 0-60 mph times with 3.73 vs. 3.31 gears?

Hello everyone! I am new to the forum.

I have a 2008 GT with 5 speed and 3.31 gears. If I upgrade to 3.73 gears what could I expect for a 0-60 time vs the stock 3.31 gears?

It will go up, not sure by how much but you will definately feel the difference. You will even be able spin the tires out of first gear.
I could barely spin mine with the 3.31's in and 20" wheels.

I would say 1 to 2 tenths of a second. It will be easier to launch with the 3.73s and you will still be in 2nd when you pass 60mph.

I was going to do the 3.73s if I got a Mustang with the 3.31s, but the only car that I could get with the options I was looking forhad the3.55s. I don't think I would be able to justify doing this mod now and netting only a 5% increase in gear ratio.

I'm not really sure exactly how much your "0-60" improves, but I can tell you.......spinning your tires when pulling out becomes much, much easier. Matter of fact, you have to really concentrate not to spin when taking off !!

+1

Well when my car was stock (auto) 0-60 time ranged between 5.3-5.8 seconds according to my speedometer, after the 4.10s, pulleys, plates, 91 tune time is now easily under 5 seconds, around 4.7 again according to the speedo.
Now I realize I'm auto not manual and had 4.10s installed not 3.73s PLUS a speedo reading isn't accurate but it should give you an idea...

Gran Turismo 4 is showing it's age, there are better sims out there now but it is still one of the better sims out there. I'm personally waiting to see Gran Turismo 5 on the PS3.

I played Forza Motorsports 2 on my brothers XBox360, and I have to admitt that it is better than Gran Turismo 4 in just about every way. But that isn't very fair considering the PS2 is a last-gen gaming console and the XBox360 is current-gen.
