SCT X3 and Brenspeed, good choice. Spectre CAI, you could have done alot better with a Steeda or C&L Racer. Spectre= 11hp @ 6,000 rpm, way out of the cams range. 4.10s best bang for the buck. MACs or KOOKs LTs better choice than BBK. LTs are a bitch but they are worth it, you and a buddy will fight for 4-6 hrs. You will need to support the engine with a jack and a block of wood, undo 1 motor mount at a time. Regular hand tools and a 5mm socket to remove the exhaust studs. Read the magazine tech articles and dyno comparisons to make your best choice on parts, there is alot of good parts and alot of junk out there.

Well if it means anything , me and a buddy spent nearly 9 hours installing Torque Monster Headers on my 5.0 Explorer with even less space under the hood to work with. The reason I choose BBK is because it comes with a Catted X-Pipe and I'm looking to stay Street Legal. I have one more question, if in the future I decide to have a shop install Cams and Gears, what will happen to my SCT Can tunes when I have them do a dyno Tune?

you can save 3 canned tunes and 3 custom tunes on the SCT tuner.

i have BBK LT's and o/r x pipe. the fitment was good, clearance underneath is good too. the only issue i had w/ them is when i put in a BMR DS safety loop bc the loop was touching the x pipe and i had to modify the x pipe a little to get enough clearance. otherwise i think BBK is a good choice for relatively cheap headers.

It's only street legal if it has a C.A.R.B number, no number = not legal, cats or no cats

Ok so I think I'm about to settle on some Headers. It's been a few months and I'm probably gonna go ahead with KOOKS Long tube headers with the Catted H pipe. I'm looking to stay legal and these are the highest rated headers that I'm finding availiable for my application. How is this gonna affect me sound, and performance wise? My only mods now is a Spectre CAI and Flowmaster American Thunder Axle back exhaust? I am not tuned just yet. I plan on getting another SCT Device the pay period after the Header install.

I would get a good tuner first. I personally recommend the SCT Livewire. Its expensive but worth the money. I went from 273 rwhp to 298 rwhp with the tuner on 93 octane. I also have the BBK Lonngtube headers with the BBK Shorty X pipe with flowmasters and it sounds awsome. also get a CAI with tune

Well Today I just got my kooks system for my 05 GT. I'm excited. I'm gonna wait until either sunday or monday to install them at a storage shed with my friend. I got the KOOK's Long tube system with the high flow cats and h pipe.
