700 miles you waited too long man.my first burn out was at the dealership when i tested the car and when i was done i parked back and told the guy i wanted the one next to the one i had test driven.
for a burnout in an auto the best way to get smoke is take traction control off, o/d off put it in 1st and bring your rpms to 5000.

i didnt say to dump it at 5000 rpms, its an automatic you wont be able to dump it at that high of rpms.i said to do a good burn out specialy with the mt et streets that i have i put the car in 1st hold the brake and i bring my rpms to 5000.when im gonna launch off the tree i put the car in auto hold the brake and i bring my rpms to about 1500only.off course all of this is done with tc off and o/d off.

I surely hope you don't any burnout problems, except for maybe not enough rubber on the tires!
I can powerbrake easily, it just won't light 'em up if I floor it at a greenlight. That's pretty much my own personal measurement of performance. I don't drag much and am too big of a pussy to street race anymore (I'm getting too old), but i will burn rubber at a stoplight.
