Thanks. I looked at some of their options on there. Talk about sticker shock. I think it's gonna be cheaper to just deal with the boat anchors from China and add power to the car. There were wheels on there like the BBS that cost almost $1000 EACH.

This thread is great. I always debate on getting another NA mod, but I know I should just wait for FI. Gears will probably be the only thing I get before that.

As for heavy wheels, I love mine. If I recall correctly, mine weigh just over 60lbs and my stock 17s were somewhere around 50lbs. 10lbs a piece wasn't noticeable to me.

I think bolt ons are great for the person that doesn't nessessarily have the means to get one big mod like the supercharger but would rather gets mods here and there, while at the same time able to run some great times at the track.

60 lbs? My Genereal tires weigh 25 lbs each. It is noticeable actually.

Good post. I started down the bolt on avenue and felt the same way. Good money went in and the results were minor. My remedy... Vortech

Something to keep in mind is that if you put the 3:73's in at the same time as the headers and pullies this would have skewed your results some. If I understand it correctly anytime you go to a higher numerical gear the output on a dyno will actually read less than the same setup with a lower numerical gear. I saw a post from a reputable tuner once about why this is, and the explanation was little complex and over my head. But basically, I think if you had left the 3:31's in and dynoed after the headers and pullies, you would have seen a larger gain on the dyno. But on the street it's still going to be quicker with the 3:73's.

You would have gotten better results with tuned shorty headers (JBA or BBK). They have close to equal length tubes before the collector. This is why long tube headers make more power - more exhaust scavenging effect.

The FRPP shorty headers are not tuned, they are just fancy replacements for the factory exhaust manifolds. They do look nice though.
