Default Edelbrock SC installed now I have Codes!

Dealer called and said it was ready. Went over and mechanic said it threw codes and fail-safed on him right before I got there. It threw P2112 P2104. Both are TP and idle codes and saying the idle is stuck but it isnt. We swapped in other TP Sensors and hard codes didnt clear. I reloaded the tune and it drove about a mile testing without throwing codes except for the throttle ones. Idle keeps jumping all over the place from 900-1400. Didnt feel as powerful as I thought it would but I didnt really push it as it has 89 octane in it right now(full tank at that). Mechanic is calling Edelbrock Tech support in the AM to see if they can help. Current install bill is ~$1100 before the failsafe started. But at least it is installed and sort of running, big hurdle is cleared. Connections all look good and seem tight.

thing is you will soon be supercharged and it
will feel like a whole new car.

you should have emptied the 89 in the tank before going FI. Shouldn't you always use 91/93 when going FI? the TP code, is that Throttle position? Try resetting it. unplug battery for 15 min, plug battery back in, turn key to "on" without starting, slowly push the accelerator to the floor and then slowly bring it back up. see if that works.

I cleared the codes and took an easy drive about 6 miles up the highway, uturned and about halfway back dropped into 3d from 60mph and it felt a lot better than before. SC doesnt whine much at all, kinda disappointing! This system is very stealth both in souind and appearance, looks like a big regular intake manifold. Anyway, got close to home, stopped at a light then did a hard take off and hit the rev limiter spinning tires pretty quick. Went home and no codes but still idled high for about 4 seconds in the garage before dropping to ~900. Talked to Edelbrock engineer earlier and he thinks the butterfly needs adjusting or a different spring in the TB. He wants it back at the dealer so he can walk the mechanic thru adjusting their TB Monday morning. Pretty helpful.

please drain your tank and put 91/93 in there. Can you imagine how much of an @sshole you'd feel like if the engine let a rod go because you didn't have the right fuel in and knew about it.

WTF, you have to have at least 91 octane in the car with a blower. I can't believe the mechanic didn't tell you this. You should syphon out that 89 immediately and put some 91 in it. You could blow your engine.

The truth is, you can baby it around town until the tank is empty (stay under 2500 rpms, PLEASE), but you need to get premium fuel in there ASAP. If you play around with the accelerator just a couple more times, you'll be adding a new block to that mechanic's to-do list.

Update, still at the shop. Edelbrock is shipping a new spring to the mechanic and wants to have him adjust the butterfly as well.
