Default TPS or Fuel Pump?

As noted from some of my other posts as of late, I have been have a terrible time with my car. I took it into the dealership two weeks ago for the ol "Failsafe Engine Mode". They replaced my PCM, but the problem still is there. Here's what happens....I am driving, usually on the highway, I get off the highway and throw it into neutral to coast to the stop light. I stop, go to accelerate thru the light, and it then goes into "Failsafe Engine Mode". I turn it off, restart and then it is fine. Only happens when I am coming off of the highway.

It also will jump up in RPM's, today it soared to 4000 at a stop light when I'm in nuetral.

After doing some researching and making some phone calls. Two things stand out. The TPS or maybe a faulty fuel pump.

Anyone else with these problems? Any thoughts?

Thanks.

the tps and pump are good possibilities....it
would be nice if you could pull a dtc the next
time it goes into failsafe.

i would add the throttle body itself, to the list.

Hammeron,
When I plugged my tuner in, no DTC codes came up. However, just for sh!ts and giggles I went ahead and cleared them out. When I did that, the CEL disappeared.

you know....reading it again you say
it only happens coming off the highway....

this sure does point to the pump, if it's
still the stock unit.
