Default Auto meter Tach install (green wire ?? )

Im new to the forum. So firstly Hi all, Im having a problem with my tach, it has 4 wires, im fine with the red, black , and white But the main Green wire that drives the tach, where do i wire this into it says to wire it in to the coil but seing as there are 8 seperate coils im not sure where to put it.

Please help me this is Driving me crazy.

hey Timr, i'm not sure if you can wire a tach gauge
directly to a coil or not. hopefully someone
else here, will say yay or nay.

here is one way to do it... you use a tach adapter that's
wired to a coil, then an output from the tach adapter
is what drives the tach gauge.

Thanks For doing that for me mate

Ive recently heard that you can just tap in to the 8th coil wire "White with red stripe or any other coil, but not the solid red wire. I just installed the Raptor shift light and I soldered it into the white with red stripe and it works great"

But why would they bring out a box if you could just do this ??
