Default Transmission Pan

I have been thinking about getting one of these. I interested in feedback from those of you who have done this. I have an auto and want to make sure it has a long life. Also planning on a 3k torque converter.

I assume you're talking about the deep pan? I thought about getting one myself, but I spoke to Tony @ Larry's Transmission (he does a lot of 5R55S builds) and he said they don't do much good, not worth the money. Personally, I'd get a bigger trans cooler to run with the stocker. I think that would do more to ensure a long healthy life for your trans than the pan IMO. If you're looking for a 3k converter I saw a great deal on one in the classifieds

Thank you for the input. I have not come across the larger Trany cooler. Where do u find one. The TCI is a good deal. I have torn between that and upgrading the v3 to HO. $$$$ is the issue. But I have the itch to do something. Its been a while since I have upgraded.

I too looked at the deep pan; being lowered, I think it would hang too low.

Opting for better cooler in upcoming mods.

No clearance problem with the deep pan. The stock tranny cooler works just fine also.

Smile trans pan

Nice to be able to check fluid level with the dipstick that comes with the pan, holds a extra gallon of fluid, does not sit below the stock exhaust. I have the 3200 PI 3- disc as well
