Hi all. I was originally going to get a 2010 mustang . But after some ****ty luck I need to buy a new truck as well and just cant afford a brand new mustang, and an (unexpected) Ford raptor. So I decided to put a cap at 25k on a mustang gt. I found a really nice one down in south Carolina. Its an 08 with 12k miles, still has remainder of factor b2b and power train warranty, Red with black leather interior, GT premium, HIDS, and GPS. So I guess with the gps you get a shaker 500 radio. Now I listened to the shaker 500 and was not impressed to say the least. I dont want to change the head unit as I like the stock GPS (and look, not a real theft risk unless they see the trunk), But I know audio is easily changed (i hope). So I ordered up 2 pairs of infinity kappa speakers for the front and rear deck. My question is the door subs now. I wanna upgrade the subs But would like to know if the shallow mount 8" Kicker subs would fit in the doors. Then have 2 more 10" subs in the back (i dont need trunk space) The kicker subs can handle 200 watts RMS at 4 ohms, I have an infinity 4 channel amp from my truck and an apline 1000W amp Im going to reuse, on the speakers and trunk subs. I ordered the speakers and 10" RF trunk subs, but am waiting on yalls answer before I order the 2 kicker subs for the door and the kicker amp.
I just wanted to explain my system, but my main questions are.
Can a shallow mount 8" sub fit in the stock door locations?
Can I run 4 subs and 3 amps off of the stock HU
Can the electrical system support it all or would an upgraded alternator be in order?
My speakers are components, wheres the best place for tweeters?
thanks a bunch guys. Will post pics when it all gets done (I dont even own the car yet and Im ordering stuff. lol)
edit- sorry I put this in the wrong section. I thought I was in the general section.

IMO, the door woofers are fine as they are. If you want to make them sound better, ditch the stock amps and power them with an aftermarket amp. But, as is the opinion of a large number of people on this forum, an aftermarket HU will get you better sound as well.
I don't believe the stock nav HU has line outs, so you'll need a converter.
Not sure about the electrical system.
I installed my tweeters low on the plastic covering the A pillar.
I bought the shelby system with the replacement kicker sub-mid bass speakers and they are really nice;ease of installation;sound quality is excellant;check them out;they are powered by the stock amps and sound really good
wow I may get the shelby speakers first, and just upgrade the speakers for now. Sell the stock HU and get the Kenwood navigation. Then later on when I get annoyed I will get some subs in the back and amp the speakers.
Also another quick question. I have deicided to go with a closer Mustang thats an 09 actually. The dealer is calling it a GT deluxe, but it has leather, shaker 500, heated seats, etc. Are those all options on the deluxe or is it really a premium??? And do I get Satellite radio on the mustang?

Upgraded my Shaker 500 by replacing the stock 6x8 speakers with 2 pairs of Kenwoods & then put a 8" Kicker 250 watt sub in the trunk. Huge improvement - total cost $343.
