Default Upgrade block for s/c saleen mustang

Ok so my 06 s281 decided to blow a hole about the size of a quarter through my block. I dont think the internals could handle the 8psi of boost the company tuned it with. I am wondering if i find a block, forged internals and maybe going .20 over on the size of the pistons or even stroking it would be possible? I am hoping my heads are ok. If they are i want to keep them. Im just wondering what upgraded block and internals would fit my heads and supercharger. Id like to have around 600 hp and it not blow up again.

Here's one http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts...KeyField=10374 call Tousley Ford in MN for a good price.

You could also contact Chris Haney http://www.haneymotorsport.com/4.6L%...r%20Series.htm

Default Stroker kit on a saleen?

What if i went with the 5.0L Demon stroker modular 3v? what all would i have to change on my saleen then? Would the supercharger still work on it even?

If it'sa modular 3v you will be fine.

A built short block from Livernois would probably be my choice if my motor blew again.

Whoever does the assembly, make sure they have prior knowledge of these motors. When they blow they usually take other things with them. I had to replace all my valves/springs, cam phasers and intake manifold. Your intake manifold should be fine since it's part of the SC, but prior to placing it back on the motor I would have the unit sent back to Saleen or whoever can do port work on it to get a little extra and make sure no pieces flew up into the SC.

I guy bought a used SC (Saleen) from another guy in Fresno. He put the SC on and some pieces from the other guys motor fell out on start up and broke the motor.

Do it right the first time, talk with a hsop that has done exactly what your doing and enjoy the finished product.

What part of PA you in? If you on the Eastern end of the state, it may be worth your time to check into JDm engineering in Jersey.

As a side note, every time I look at a shortblock ad, I can't help but wonder why not get the strokers? I've yet to see one thats more than like 3 or 4 hundred more than a stock cube and any class rules aside, more Cubic Inches are never a bad thing..

Anyone remember a while back one guy had picked up an Sean Hyland 6 liter block? Can't remember if it was a short block or a bare block. Wonder what ever happened to it?

+1 on JDM.

Theoretically, the stroker motors are not as reliable as your run of the mill stock CI motor. The stock 4.6L motor has a 90.2mm bore and a 90mm stroke, thus making the motor almost square. Hard to reason against ol fashioned geometry. With that said, it all depends on what you want out of your engine.
