glad to hear you got your plugs out fine. i'm planning on replacing mines in the morning, got champs 7989 got permatex, and i'm gonna be using deep creep from seafoam, i used seafoam a week ago to hopefully clean up as much build-up and not as much smoke came out. but i'm a nervous wreck right now.. many sleepless nights just thinking about the damn plugs..... wish me luck!

Does anyone know when ford updated the head design on the 3V F150s? I'm in the market for a new(er) truck and I don't want two vehicles with this issue...

not to sure, thinking that ford has learned something from these poop plugs and head design flaws. hopefully. i'd check at a dealer, check coil packs, tell them to pull one out. haha see if they are brown. if the mustangs had the same problem as the other 3v's, brown may well be a good indicater that it is the revised 3v head. but honestly dunnoo. just puttin it my 1cent
