Cool! I know hammeron you've been wanting to do your own engine build for a long time. I'm glad to finally see it's being done. I love build threads like this.
What made you go with the Aluminator?
Do you plan on putting the Hot Rods back in? What about boost, plan on cranking it up to crazy amounts?

truth is i wanted to do a build where i could
install the crank, rods and pistons, but in the
end i just didn't feel comfortable with it. i
think i can be satisfied though, if this one turns
out ok.
don't know what the future holds for the HR's, they
may go back in, after i get this engine broke in.
i'm leaning towards 12psi and calling it a day for engine
mods.

I really doubt you will be satisified with 12psi, you will prob be slower than where you were at with the stock motor and 10psi. With that low compression, you will have some room to play and still be able to run pump gas.

honestly at this point i'm not sure where
i'll end up boost/power wise. for me, this
build is about minimizing the chances of
catastrophic engine failure. having said
that, i won't rule out the possibility of
someday running the steeda belt drive,
with a 16psi pulley.....
