Nice write up...I'm building up an Aluminator right now. Quick question, any idea why these motors come with a shortened windage tray?

hey there race77. honestly no, i don't know why ford racing uses these trays. i decided to use it though, along with the oil pump supplied. i hope it turns out to be a good decision.

so did you ever get it on a dyno with the aluminator?

yes....and as expected, due to the lower compression it put down just
a few less ponies.......i love the 8.7:1 aluminator and would buy it
again in a heartbeat, she's holding up very nicely.

Duh! I even responded in that thread. Did you ever get an Aeroforce gauge? I've checked my timing at WOT and the max i've seen is 19.5

yep, got an aeroforce gauge and put it in a roush vent pod,
looks great! i think my max timing is the same as what you
are seeing, or close to it.
