Today I operated on the truck- took off neg battery/the throttle body/air intake/MAF and cleaned the hell out of everything. I then just did what you said, I cut off all the original splices and soldered every wire then shrink wraped. Closed everything back up/ cleared all codes and drove the druck for 5 min, everyhtings all good so far. Tommorow i'll drive it for a longer period. Its funny cause when i called whipple they acted dumb founded and said wow we never herd of that problem- my azz they didnt along with the spark plug problem i had putting in the 0 degree plugs. Thankyou for your POST so far you had the right answer.

Sorry to revive an old thread - but my 2007 (X Charged) is throwing the P2135 code only. I cleaned the MAF, TB, and air filter. Cleared the DTC and the light is still on. Can one of you who did this soldering specify what I need to solder and if you have time provide me with some pictures, I would greatly appreciate it so that I can make sure I've got the right wires to solder and such. Also I've had the supercharger on for around 6 months with absolutely no issues at all - do you think it is the wire issue since I haven't had any problems for six months, or do you think it's the TPS?? Thanks

I wasn't getting codes, it just didn't feel right when accelerating. I went through and soldered all my connections. I rather enjoyed doing it, there's something soothing about heating up metal till it melts.

Do the instructions for the x-charger call for extending the tps and MAF sensor wires? The whipples placement of the throttle body requires that you lengthen these wires and they supply crimp connectors, which can eventually loosen. You may just need a new tps sensor.

I've replaced TB, the sensor, and still getting it. It's got to a wiring issue. I have no idea how to solder stuff... how much will this cost me to have a shop do and what do I need to tell them to solder? This has been going on for like 3 summers and only happens in the summer when it gets warmer outside... the wires must loosen up or something. It runs every winter all winter without throwing the code at all.

I know this post was a while back but I have been having problems with my car(2008 mustang v6)for a while now. I have a p2135 code and I already change the tb and gas pedal I don’t know what else I could do to fix it. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance

Good for you! My '04 Explorer threw me into Forced Limited Power (limp), as well as Forced Engine Idle (the bad one). TB was screwed up, and ASBS Module was causing limp mode.

I responded after I saw "Naperville". My old stamping grounds, born in Berwyn.
