Too bad I didn't know that -- I would have bought them from you (assuming you would want to unload them).

As for sound, I guess we'll see -- needing break in time seems to be pretty common with mufflers. They sound pretty mean in Larry's video.

I actually fall into the minority of Mustang owners who doesn't like the sound from the engine bay . . . the injectors, lifters, and what-not annoy me. But the exhaust is heavenly, so I wanted more of that and a "drown out" of the engine.

Hmm, I actually don't know a single person who DOES like that sound...

Run a search on the 'sound tube' that was installed in the 2010s. Seems there's a bunch who really like the engine sounds.

As for me, if I wasn't concerned about heat, I'd insulate the crap out of the engine bay and just listed to that glorious exhaust note.

I don't think the sound tube transmits injector and valve train action noise though does it? I don't have a sound tube so I'm not sure. I just figured it transmitted more of a mmmm sound.

No probably not. I was just using that as an example of those who want to hear from the engine bay. Not I.

Sound comes from the intake into a chamber that cancels out unwanted noise and lets in the engine roar. It also doesn't let in free flowing air into the cabin...just sound.

Okay, got it. I was only saying that some folks like to hear from the engine bay. I do not.

i put them on my car a few weeks back. The tips don;t stick out quite as far, but they look and soudn great. the onyl downside is that at least the pair i got has crap fitment. they had to be cut down, heated, and bended becasue the hangers were just all off. Not sure what happened, but they wer enot a bolt on thing. Luckily i had it at a muffler shop and they fixed me up. they sound fantastic, drone at about 2900 to 2K with 3.73's but you dont even notice it when accelerating unless you granny it. I liek them so far, and they are much, much louder than stock. I have a vid of the car, with so so sound since the camera was outside the car for part of it.

I don't notice any drone on mine with 3.73 gears MT. Still love the sound, gets better after more miles. I have 7500 miles now. The tips don't stick out as far but still look good to me with the big tips. I didn't have any problem with installation, bolted on in my driveway by myself on ramps.
