Default FRPP Top end package

My friend has an 05 and was talking about ordering the kit, he says he'll smoke me with the "hot air dryer" mounted on the front of my engine lulz

He's pretty much intake/Shorty headers, 5 speed, 4.10s..

Anyone have this kit? Just curious in how much power it would make with the addition of a CAI/shorty headers.

No way he'll be even close to my numbers once I go intercooled.

Looks like an incredible package. Definitely interested in the gains myself.

It's not an FRPP kit. It's a kit put together by that vendor

No way that kit even with the LT's and intake will make 425 HP on a 4.6L, not even crank. That's simply ridiculous to think you can gain over 150 HP with that kit, CAI & tune and LT's bolted to 4.6L. Throw that kit on a 4.6L that already has a good CAI, update the tune for the kit and I doubt you'd be pushing more than 320-325 RWHP. Add about 10 more with LT's.

Tell your buddy to go for it and listen to him cry when you whip his azz with your Vortech.

That kit WILL make more than 320-325 RWHP.
I make 320 with Hot Rod Cams, CAI, Long tubes, and a tune.

Ported heads, intake manifold, new throttle body too with this kit?

Yes... it will make more than 325RWHP......

Will it beat the Vortech?
No.

But 325RWHP is not accurate.
Sorry.

I missed the ported heads and discounted the TB for doing little. What's your guess? I'll add about 10-15 more RWHP than my 320-325 guess and I still think that it's a stretch.

This kit with CAI and LT will easily make 425 bhp. There's no question.

With all that, it's possible to beat a non-intercooled FI setup. Intercooled with higher boost - no.

I was thinking that it'll make somewhere along the lines of 350-360whp, he also has a manual and less parasitic loss than my auto. I still got him by 20whp, but once the heat pulls timing, god knows how much I am really putting to the wheels??
