Default Car Falls on its Face at WOT throttle.

My 06 GT has been doing this for awhile, i think its getting worse.
When you go WOT the engine hesitates for 1 to 2 seconds (feels like about ½ throttle) and then goes all out. Doesn't feel like its missing (runs smooth) just a serious hesitation and doesn't do it every time. Any ideas?

I would check the obvious stuff - air fitler, fuel filter, spark plugs. Worst case scenario you gave the car a tune-up. If that doesn't help then I would be contacting Brenspeed.

Just my 2c - IANAM

I would contact Brenspped first, sounds like a tune issue!

If it's doing it mostly after a steady cruise, then I'd suspect the fuel pump. There's a TSB on it. If not, then a tune should fix it after cleaning the TB and MAF and replacing the fuel filter. Also, be sure your TCS is off. My TCS caused bad hesitation going to WOT on occassion due to cutting spark. I haven't had it happen since I made it a habit to turn TCS off.

Sounds like what my car does but it's very seldom. When I was stock it happened more often but since I have a tuner it's very rare. About the only time it happens is on a long cruise and then when you try to get on it, it hesitates. To me it feels likes a throttle body issue but when I've taken it in, they just reset the computer and say everything looks fine. It happens so rarely I just live with it but I would be interested to know if there is more to this and a possible fix.

Almost reads right out of the fuel pump TSB.

Mine doesn't seem to care, it will do it almost anytime. I was trying to figure it out before my supercharger went on but i couldn't wait and i will have a new tune so i can rule that out... I was also considering the charge motion plates(i have no experiance here) and i am going to rule those out since there gone now.

Thanks for the Imput.. I will look at the fuel pump next

Fuel pump TSB
https://mustangforums.com/mustang-ts...NG-CRUISE.html

The symptoms can be going WOT while cruising, stopping to pay a toll then accelerating aggressively; any acceleration after a steady cruise which allow the air bubbles to pass thru the system.

What charger did you install? This was happening before you installed it?

Its been happening for quite some time, i just put the charger(m90) on yesterday but haven't got my tune yet, VMP is working on it, should be here this week. If it still persists i will check the fuel pump.
