Default Whirring Sound

2008 GT. Never heard this before. When I first get in the car and just sit there, a muffled whirring sound comes from under the passenger side dash for a few seconds then stops. Key is not in the ignition.

blend door actuator? that would be more of a fast clicking sound tho. CD player maybe?

A blend door actuator would also make a whirring sound (I've just replaced one) but you'd need to switch on the HVAC for that to happen.
A faulty CD changer could be the most likely problem.

I have a faulty blend door and that is a loud clicking for a few seconds. Even the CD player when it loses power is much louder as it searches through CD's. No, this is a very muffled whir, almost sounds like it is coming from outside the car with the windows up. And most def under the passenger side dash.
